High Desert Photo / Senior Portraits
Boise Senior Portrait Photographer
Senior year happens once. These photos are how you'll remember it — so they should actually look like you, not like a stiff studio backdrop. I'm Alyssa, and I photograph high school seniors across Boise and the Treasure Valley.
What a session costs
Your date is held with a retainer at booking. If you want to talk through what your session would look like before committing, just send an inquiry and we'll figure it out together.
How it works
-
Reach out
Send an inquiry with a bit about yourself. I'll get back to you within 24 hours to talk through the details.
-
Plan it together
We pick a location, talk outfits, and settle on the overall vibe. This is the part that makes the session feel easy — you show up already knowing the plan.
-
The session
Mostly walking around and talking. Very little stiff posing. The photos that end up mattering are usually the in-between moments.

Where we shoot
Sessions happen on location around the Treasure Valley — Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Caldwell, and Kuna — with travel sessions across the Pacific Northwest when it makes sense. Southern Idaho gives you a lot of range: open foothills, water, desert light, and plenty of green in the right season. We choose the spot during planning based on the look you want.
What to wear
The short version: bring two or three outfits you already feel good in. A few things that help:
- Solid colors and simple textures keep the attention on you rather than the clothes.
- Bring one outfit that feels like everyday you, and one that feels a little elevated.
- Comfortable shoes matter more than people expect — we cover ground during a session.
- If you're unsure about something, send me a photo of it. That's what the planning step is for.
When to book
Most seniors book a few months ahead, and late summer through fall fills up first — that's when the light is best and everyone wants the same weekends. If you're in the Class of 2027 or 2028, now is a good time to get a date on the calendar.
